They have appeared in both Bluegrass Unlimited and Bluegrass Now magazines, and have several singles worked into airplay rotation on XM's Bluegrass Junction with "Red Dirt on My Shoes" peaking at #3. They were also featured as a "Studio Special" guest on Sirius/XM's Bluegrass Junction with Kyle Cantrell.

Palmer Divide formed as a band with the single goal of not being just another bluegrass cover band. The band was created by merging members from several other successful Colorado bands. With their own approach to acoustic music Palmer Divide offers up their brand of music with well crafted lyrics, innovative and rock solid instrumentation, and tight 3 and 4 part harmonies. Their unique yet hauntingly familiar sound pulls from their deep respect of traditional bluegrass music and well as their desire to create a modern acoustic sound that is all their own. After performing in various other cover bands all over the country for the last 25+ years they were excited to perform music that could only be labeled as "theirs." When the original four members first got together they decided to perform only music that they had written; "a bold undertaking for a new bluegrass band trying to garner festival and concert work" noted Dick Pierle, founder and owner of Old Blue Sound. The four original members were extremely confident in the music they had written and arranged and felt if given the chance to perform it in front of an audience others would like it as well.

Greg Reed
Vocals/Guitar/Mandolin
Greg is an east Tennessee native that grew up playing music. He has a long history of performing with various acoustic bands throughout Tennessee and now in Colorado. Greg was a founding member of the successful Denver based acoustic group White Lightning, which enjoyed a great deal of noteriety in Colorado throughout the mid 90's. Greg also played guitar and mandolin with both The Cletus Brothers  and Black Rose. Greg  also performs select shows of acoustic music with his son Dustin. He is now returning to his true passion, playing original Acoustic Bluegrass and Americana music with Palmer Divide.

Mickey Stinnett
Vocals/Resonator Guitar/Banjo

Mickey is a Virginia native that migrated west during Colorado's blizzard of 1997. He's played in various bluegrass bands in the Washington, DC area and won the Deer Creek Bluegrass Festivals' Dobro competition while performing with Flatland Grass. After moving to Colorado he joined ranks with noted songwriter Benny Galloway and Greg Reed, and played with them in the Boulder based band The Cletus Brothers. Mickey also held down the guitar duties in the band Lost Creek. After those groups disbanded he joined Colorado's Black Rose Band and performed with them for several years before co-founding Palmer Divide.

Dustin Reed
Bass/Vocals
Dustin is a Tennessee native that now lives in Golden Colorado. Dustin is the youngest member of the band which drops the average age of the band significantly (which greatly pleases the rest of us!). He provides the band with clear high vocals as well as holding down the bass duties. Dustin plays a variety of  different music styles and instruments and is currently a vocal music major at the University of Colorado in Denver. Raised in a musical environment he has been playing most of his life. In addition to his pursuit of a vocal performance degree also teaches private lessons on guitar, mandolin, and bass.

Jordan Ramsey
Vocals/Mandolin
Jordan attended East Tennessee State University and played with the school's top bluegrass ensemble from '05 until '07. As a part of the ETSU "Pride Band" he honed his McReynolds' style cross-picking skills. He studied under mandolin master and cross-picking devotee Jack Tottle. Jordan specializes in McReynolds' style cross-picking, but is well versed in most other styles, such as jazz, swing, and classical idioms. He left his native Tennessee for Colorado in late '07 and won the following year's RockyGrass Mandolin Competition. He quickly made a name for himself in the Front Range for inventive, powerful playing.
